The Northwestern Tamang of Nepal, numbering approximately 454,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tibeto-Burmese ethnic community of Nepal, Southern Bhutan, and North India and can also be known as Northwestern Tamang. They are an Indigenous people, in the South Himalayan people cluster of the Tibetan / Himalayan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Tibetan. They primarily speak Tamang, Western.
