They are an ethnolinguistic community of eastern Nepal, Janakpur zone: Dolakha District, Jiri and Sikri valleys, easter hills. They are an Indigenous people, in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Jirel.
