The Waza of India

The Waza of India, numbering approximately 1,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a distinct Muslim occupational community in Kashmir, traditionally known as master chefs and caterers, especially for preparing the famous Kashmiri ceremonial feast called wazwan.
They are an Indigenous people in the Kashmiri people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Kashmiri is their primary language and Sunni Islam is their primary religion.

The Waza are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Waza are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Waza are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
