The Godra of India

The Godra of India, numbering approximately 5,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Caste of Sambalpur district in Odisha, considered an offshoot of the Mahar, formerly sustained by hunting and forest produce before deforestation pushed them into wage labor and bamboo basketry.
They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Odia is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
