The Lamgang of India

The Lamgang of India, numbering approximately 8,700 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Tribe of 26 villages in Chandel district, Manipur, whose name means people settled on dry hilly land. Shifting cultivation remains their occupation, and nearly all are Baptists .
They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Lamkang is their primary language and Protestantism is their primary religion.
