They are described as a Native American tribe of the Southern Plains, historically located in parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Today, they are federally recognized as the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, headquartered in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
They are an Indigenous people in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples affinity bloc.
English is their primary language and Native American religions is their primary religion.
