The Tagin of India

The Tagin of India, numbering approximately 58,000 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Tribe of Upper Subansiri district, Arunachal Pradesh, tracing origin to a mythical ancestor and migration along Subansiri river tributaries. Slash-and-burn cultivation remains primary, with hunting.
They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Tagin is their primary language and Animism is their primary religion.
