The Hali of India

The Hali of India, numbering approximately 51,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Caste community of Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh, also known as Arya or Dhingra, traditionally agricultural sharecroppers and carcass-removers, skilled in weaving.
They are an Indigenous people in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Kanjari is their primary language and Folk Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Hali are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

The Hali are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

The Hali are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.

Pray that those who don't yet know Him will encounter the risen Savior and be transformed by the power of His resurrection, becoming disciples who make disciples.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

Pray that the lost will be open to the truth of the gospel and turn from false teachings and myths to the sound doctrine of Christ in faith.

Pray that God will raise up believers who can help meet emotional and physical needs among this people group. Ask Him to open doors for them and give them the courage to walk into difficult situations and share the hope of the gospel boldly.
