The Adi of India

The Adi of India, numbering approximately 120,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a generic hill tribe category of Arunachal Pradesh whose name means "hillmen," embracing many subgroups concentrated in the Siang districts. They practice shifting cultivation and follow the indigenous Donyi-Polo religion centered on the sun and moon.
They are an Indigenous people in the Adi people cluster of the Himalayan Peoples affinity bloc.
Hindi is their primary language and Ethnoreligion is their primary religion.

The Adi are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Adi are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Adi are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
