The Mahli of India

They are described as an occupational caste of barbers from Maharashtra who speak Marathi and practice Hinduism, with traditional hair-dressing occupation and subgroups including Gujarati, Marawadi, and Telugu communities.
They are an Indigenous people in the Munda-Santal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Marathi is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
