They are described as an indigenous community of India and can also be known as Dhemal, Jharwa, Maulik.
They are an Indigenous people, with Dhimal as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan / Himalayan Peoples.
Their primary religion is Hinduism.
They primarily speak Dhimal.
