The Chuj of Mexico

The Chuj of Mexico, numbering approximately 3,800 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a Mayan ethnic group indigenous to Guatemala and Mexico and can also be known as Ixtatán, Chuj, Chuj de San Mateo Ixtatán, San Mateo Ixtatan, San Sebastián Coatán; Chuh; Chuhe; Chuj de San Mateo Ixtatán; Chuje; Chuj, Chuhe, Chuje, Chuj, Chuh, San Sebastián Coatán.
They are an Indigenous people, with Chuj as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Maya people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans.
Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism.
They primarily speak Spanish.
