They are described as an ethnolinguistic subgroup of Baloch, a nomadic, pastoral, Western Iranic ethnic group native to the Balochistan region of South and Western Asia.
They are an Indigenous people in the Baloch people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples affinity bloc.
Balochi, Western is their primary language and Sunni Islam is their primary religion.
