The Gawar-Bati of Afghanistan, numbering approximately 38,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a subgroup of the larger Dardic ethnic group of northeastern Afghanistan. They are also known as Narisati.
They are an Indigenous people in the Nuristani people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples affinity bloc.
Gawar-Bati is their primary language and Sunni Islam is their primary religion.
