The Dhanwar of India, numbering approximately 97,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Basti, Gonda, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Prayagraj districts; also Chhattisgarh: Bilaspur and Surguja districts.
They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Chhattisgarhi is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
