The Nagar of India

The Nagar of India, numbering approximately 157,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a little-known community of Bihar and West Bengal tracing origin to Rajasthan, linked to a legend of court singers fleeing Emperor Aurangzeb's wrath. Agriculture remains primary, supplemented by wage labor and small business.
They are an Indigenous people in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Angika is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
