The Bhisti of India

The Bhisti of India, numbering approximately 690,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a widely distributed Muslim water-carrier community, also known as Sakka, whose name derives from the Persian bihisht ("paradise") for the service they rendered to thirsty soldiers. They trace their ancestry to Hazrat Abbas Alamdar and can also be known as Bihishti.
They are an Indigenous people, with Bihisti as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Urdu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples.
Their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
They primarily speak Urdu.
