The Karachay of Kyrgyzstan, numbering approximately 1,700 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a Turkic ethnic group indigenous to the North Caucasus, primarily residing in the Karachay–Cherkess Republic of southwestern Russia.
They are an Diaspora people in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc.
Karachay-Balkar is their primary language and Sunni Islam is their primary religion.
