The Turks of Kazakhstan

They are described as ethnic Turks whose identity is rooted in the Ahiska (Meskheti) region of Georgia prior to their forced deportation by the Soviet government in 1944 and can also be known as Turkish Meskhetian, Ahiska Turk, Turkish Ahiskan, Anatolian, Meskhetian Turk, Rumelian Turk, Baharlu Turk, Ottomon Turk, Urum.
They are an Diaspora people, with Turk as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Turkic people cluster of the Turkic Peoples.
Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni.
They primarily speak Turkish.
