The Aguaruna of Peru, numbering approximately 55,500 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a branch of the Jivaro people. They are also known as Awajún.
They are an Indigenous people in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc.
Awajún is their primary language and Animism is their primary religion.
