They are described as an Indigenous people of the northwestern Amazon, primarily in Brazil (Amazonas state) and parts of Colombia.
They are an Indigenous people in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc.
Hupdë is their primary language and Animism is their primary religion.
