The Saek of Laos

The Saek of Laos, numbering approximately 7,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a small Tai ethnic group of mainland Southeast Asia, living primarily along both sides of the Mekong River in central Laos and northeastern Thailand. They are also known as Xaek.
They are an Indigenous people in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Lao is their primary language and Animism is their primary religion.

The Saek are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Saek are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Saek are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
