The Khatbune of India

The Khatbune of India, numbering approximately 1,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Sikh community of Delhi descended from the Labana of Sindh, whose name reflects their occupation of cot-making and weaving. Once itinerant traders akin to the Banjara, they now also work in rope-making and wage labor. They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Sikh people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Punjabi, Eastern and their primary religion is Sikhism.
