They are an ethnolinguistic community of Central African Republic and can also be known as Ukhewjo. They are an Indigenous people, in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Ukhwejo.
