The Saek of Laos, numbering approximately 7,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a small Tai ethnic group of mainland Southeast Asia, living primarily along both sides of the Mekong River in central Laos and northeastern Thailand and can also be known as Xaek. They are an Indigenous people, with Saek as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism. They primarily speak Lao.
